This fly has been an absolute success in catching Sea Trout since it as designed by James Waltham way back in the 1980’s, and should now be found in every serious Sea Trout Fisherman’s fly box
Snake Flies are tied long (3 inches) and slim to imitate the Sand Eel. The body is made using Mylar in various colours, Pearl, Silver and the very reflective Mirage, and a long slim wing. The head is built up and very reflective eyes are fixed on then, the head is coated with epoxy.

All my Snake Flies are 3 inches long and tied using a size 12 or size 14 treble.
